The big hotels do need to seriously consider its mandatory resort fees for had we known before booking of the $32 plus levy we would seriously have considered not going to Las Vegas at all. HOWEVER we did have a wonderful stay at the ARIA and generely would recommend it. We also thought the shower cubicle was very dangerous, being VERY slippery ,credit where its due we requested a none slip shower mat through housekeeping team and a brand new one still in its box was sent up within half an hour. In the hotel advertising they boast of the rooms having twin washbasins, unfortunately they are not of much practical use as you cannot insert a plug to stop the water running straight out again, completely useless set up if you need to shave or infact just have a wash. Also despite a resort fee of $32 plus per night you did not have use of the refrigerator for general use unless you paid another $25 per day fine plus no tea or coffee making facilities in the room either. Also the hotel seemed to have a weird policy of you having to ring the housekeeping team when you wanted the bed linen changing instead of just changing it every 2 to 3 days anyway. The top of our refrigerator was disgusting, covered in thick dust (no we didn't complain at the time but on reflection should have). Could not fault the staff on the reception and concierge but in our opinion the room cleaning staff left a lot to be desired.
